Silver futures up on firm global cues
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver prices for delivery in March were up by Rs 227, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 58,426 per kg in business turnover of 1,609 lots.

Similarly, the white metal price for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 118, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 59,784 per kg in 120 lots.
Analysts said speculative positions created by participants were driven by a firm trend in the global markets.
Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President Charles Evans said the US central bank should keep policy accommodative to support the economy, which also influenced silver futures prices here.
Globally, silver rose 0.80 per cent to $ 30.69 an ounce in Singapore.
