Selected foodgrain prices decline

CHENNAI: Prices of moong dal,gram dal and maida declined, while rest all other commodities unaltered in the wholesale foodgrains market here on Friday.

Moong dal and gram dal moved down by Rs.100 and Rs.50 per quintal to Rs.6,400 and Rs.2,800 from Yesterdays rate of Rs.6,500 and Rs.2,850.

Maida (90 kg) went down to Rs.1,700 from Rs.1,750. Thoor dal,urad dal,sugar,wheat and sooji unchanged from their yesterday's rate.

Following are today's rates (per quintal): Thoor dal Rs 6,200, Urad dal Rs 7,200, Moong dal Rs 6,400, Gram dal Rs 2,800, Sugar Rs 2,700, Wheat Rs 1,750, Maida (90 kg) Rs 1,700 and sooji (90 kgs) Rs 1900.
