Select spices fall on weak demand

Prices of ginger bleached declined at the spices market here today due to reduced demand from stockists as well as upcountry dealers.

MUMBAI: Prices of ginger bleached declined at the spices market here today due to reduced demand from stockists as well as upcountry dealers.

Elsewhere, copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode both slipped on reduced off-take from millers.

Rest all other spices closed at their overnight levels in the absence of any buying support.

Ginger bleached slipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 85 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 85.

Copra office Alapuzha went down by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 3,900 as against Rs 3,950 and copra office Kozhikode eased by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 3,800 from Rs 3,825 previously.
