NEW DELHI: Select pulses fell by Rs 100 per quintal at the local kirana market today on stockists selling on sluggish demand.

Marketmen said stockists selling on the back of sluggish demand mainly led to decline in select spices.

In the national capital, turmeric fell by Rs 100 to Rs 6900-11,900, while jeera common and best were also traded lower by the same margin to Rs 12,400-12,900 and Rs 16,400-16,900 per quintal, respectively.

Red chilli also declined by Rs 100 to Rs 6400-11,700 per quintal.

The following are today's quotations: Ajwain 10,000-15,000, black pepper (per kg) 370-490, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 780-900 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 950-1,050.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 700-840, cardamom (colour robin) 690-830, cardamom bold 700-790, cardamom extra (bold) 880-1,020 and cloves (kg) 600-750.
