Select pulses up on stockists buying

Marketmen said increased buying by stockists driven by pick up in demand from retailers amid lower arrivals.

NEW DELHI: Select pulses led by kabli gram rose up to Rs 200 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on increased buying by stockists following pick up in demand from retailers coupled with a restricted arrivals from producing belts.

Marketmen said increased buying by stockists driven by pick up in demand from retailers amid lower arrivals from producing belts mainly pushed up select pulses.

In the national capital, kabli gram small variety recovered by Rs Rs 200 to Rs 3,700-6,000 per quintal.

Moth hardened by Rs 100 to Rs 3,500-4,100 per quintal. Masoor small and bold also moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,600-3,800 and Rs 3,750-3,900 and its dal local and best quality were traded higher by the same margin to Rs 4,300-4,400 and Rs 4,400-4,500 per quintal respectively.

In line with a general firm trend, gram, gramdal local and best quality were also enquired higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,500-3,800, Rs 4,100-4,200 and Rs 4,400-4,500 per quintal respectively.
