Select pulses up on retailers demand, tight supply
Select pulses rose up to Rs 300 per quintal on wholesale pulses market on pick up in demand from retailers and stockists against tight supplies on limited arrivals from producing regions.
Traders said besides pick up in demand from retailers and stockists, tight supply from producing regions mainly led to rise in select pulses.
In the national capital, urad edged up to Rs 3,500-4,000 per quintal. Urad dal chilka local and best quality traded higher by Rs 250 each to Rs 4,800-5,000, Rs 5,100-5,600, while urad dal dhoya enquired higher by the same margin to Rs 5,650-5,850 per quintal, respectively. Moth moved up by Rs 200 to Rs 3,700-4,300 per quintal.
Gram also moved up to Rs 3,125-4,000 from previous level of Rs 3,075-3,850, while gramdal local and best quality were up by Rs 300 each to Rs 3,800-4,000 and Rs 3,900-4,000 per quintal, respectively.
