Select pulses price down on ample supply

Prices of malka, masoor and gram dal turned weak by Rs 40-50 a kilo each in the wholesale pulses market on account of restricted buying against ample supply.

NEW DELHI: Prices of malka, masoor and gram dal turned weak by Rs 40-50 a kilo each in the wholesale pulses market on Friday on account of restricted buying against ample supply.

Dal masoor local and best quality shed from Rs 3,300-3,400 and Rs 3,500-3,700 to close at Rs 3,200-3,350 and Rs 3,400-3,650 a quintal respectively.

Malka local and best dipped to trade at Rs 3,250-3,400 and Rs 3,400-3,600 from Rs 3,300-3,400 and Rs 3,500-3,600 a quintal respectively.

Gram dal local and best also lean down on increased supply from Rajasthan and Gujrat and traded at Rs 2,550-2,600 and Rs 2,750-2,900 instead of Rs 2,600-2,625 and Rs 2,825-2,925 a quintal respectively.

On the other hand, arhar dal rose further on paucity of ready stocks and quoted higher by Rs 50-100 at Rs 3,650-3,850 per quintal.
