Select edible oils rise on local buying

Select edible oil prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on the back of buying by local parties on account of festive season.

NEW DELHI: Select edible oil prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on the back of buying by local parties on account of festive season.

However, other edible and non-edible oils after moving in a narrow range in restricted buying settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said fresh local buying for the festive season mainly pushed up select wholesale edible oil prices.

In the national capital, mustard exepeller (Indore), sesame and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 8,500, Rs 8,650 and Rs 6,850 per quintal, respectively.
