Select edible oil prices recovered between Rs 50 and Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market on Saturday on fresh buying influenced by firming global trend.

NEW DELHI: Select edible oil prices recovered between Rs 50 and Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market on Saturday on fresh buying influenced by firming global trend.

Traders said fresh buying by vanaspati units and retailers in line with firming global trend mainly influenced trading activity.

They said the demand picked up from retailers due to the ongoing heavy marriage season.

In the edible section, groundnut and soyabean refined mill delivery oils gained Rs 50 each at Rs 7100 and Rs 6050 a quintal respectively.

Crude palm oil (ex-kandla) rose by Rs 80 at Rs 4680 a quintal. Palmoline (rbd) and rice bran oils also moved up by Rs 100 each at Rs 5550 and Rs 4650 per quintal respectively.

Following were today's quotations in Rs quintal: Oilseeds: mustard seed 2325-2500 and Groundnutseed 2700-3000.
