Select copra and black pepper climbs on rising demand

MUMBAI: Copra edible, Copra office Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices climbed at the Spices market here today on rising stockists and retail demand on the back of ensuing festivities.

Black pepper gained further on sustained retail offtake. While, rest of the spices ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Copra edible shot up by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 8,200 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 8,000.

Copra office Kozhikode advanced by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,000 from Rs 6,900.

Copra office Alapuzha moved-up by Rs 50 per quintal Rs 7,050 from Rs 7,000.

Black pepper gained by Rs 15/10 per kg to Rs 495/525 as against Rs 480/515 previously.
