Select commodity prices decline
Prices of thoor dal, gram dal and sooji declined, while other commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrain market in Chennai on Friday.

CHENNAI: Prices of thoor dal, gram dal and sooji declined, while other commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrain market here on Friday.
Both thoor dal and gram dal moved down by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 4,100 and Rs 2,500 respectively, while sooji edged down to Rs 1,400.
Prices of urad dal, moong dal, sugar, wheat and maida remained unchanged.
Following are today's rates per quintal (in Rs): Thoor dal Rs 4,100, urad dal Rs 3,600, moong dal Rs 3,200, gram dal Rs 2,500, sugar Rs 1,340, wheat Rs 1,400, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,350 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,400.
