Select commodities moved up

Urad dal, gram dal, sugar and sooji moved up during the week under review on the wholesale foodgrains market.

CHENNAI: Urad dal, gram dal, sugar and sooji moved up during the week under review on the wholesale foodgrains market.

Urad dal went up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 4,600, against the previous week's rate of Rs 4,500. Both gram dal and sugar edged up by Rs 50 each per quintal to Rs 3,050 and Rs 2,050, against the previous week's rate of of Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively.

Sooji, which opened at Rs 1,550, went up further to end the week at Rs 1,600, netting a gain of Rs 100 per 90 kg.

Toor dal (Rs 4,750), moong dal (Rs 4,500), wheat (Rs 1,550) and Maida (Rs 1,450) were traded at their previous week's rates.
