Select base metals remain weak on global cues

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and zinc ingot remained weak and shed Rs 2 each to Rs 398 and Rs 108-114 per kg, respectively.

NEW DELHI: Select base metals remained weak for the second day in a row and shed Rs 2 per kg in the local non-ferrous metals market here today on fall in industrial demand and reports of weakening global trend.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and zinc ingot remained weak and shed Rs 2 each to Rs 398 and Rs 108-114 per kg, respectively.

Lead ingot and lead imported followed suit and traded lower by Rs 2 each to Rs 131 and Rs 129 per kg, respectively.

The following are metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 108-114, nickel plate (4x4) 1,043-1,046, gun metal scrap 226, bell metal scrap 228, copper mixed scrap 398, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 131, lead imported 129, aluminium ingots 123, sheet cutting 125, aluminium wire scrap 129 and aluminium utensils scrap 124.
