Saria weakens on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI: Saria prices fell by Rs 500 per tonne on the local steel market today due to reduced offtake by stockists on slowdown in construction activities.

Traders said reduced offtake by stockists due to slowdown in construction activities mainly attributed fall in saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 500 each to Rs 49,600, Rs 48,200 and Rs 47,200, while saria 16-25 mm traded lower by the same margin to Rs 47,800 per tonne, respectively.

Saria Jai Bharat (TMT): 8-mm 45,800, 10 mm 45,500, 12-mm 44,700, 16-25 mm 44,900.

Amba shakti (TMT): 8-mm 45,500, 10-mm 43,200, 12-mm 42,200, 16-25 mm 42,700.
