Saria rises on increased offtake

Saria strengthened by Rs 100 per tonne in the local steel and iron market today on increased offtake by stockists following pick up in demand from construction units.

NEW DELHI: Saria strengthened by Rs 100 per tonne in the local steel and iron market today on increased offtake by stockists following pick up in demand from construction units.

Traders said increased offtake by stockists following pick up in constructions activity mainly supported the rise in saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm and 12-mm were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 53,600, Rs 52,200 and Rs 51,500, respectively, while saria 16-25-mm traded higher by the same margin to Rs 52,200 per tone.

The following are today's quotations per tonne: CTD saria (Kamdhenu): 8-mm 53,600, 10-mm 52,200, 12-mm 51,500, 16-25 mm 52,200.

Saria Jai Bharat (TMT): 8-mm 45,900, 10 mm 45,100, 12-mm 44,400,16-25 mm 44,700.

Amba shakti (TMT): 8-mm 48,900, 10-mm 47,400, 12-mm 46,800, 16-25 mm 47,400.
