Rising demand lifts refined soya oil futures

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for February delivery moved up by Rs 8.3, or 0.74%, to Rs 1,130 per 10 kg.

NEW DELHI: Refined soya oil prices on Monday rose by Rs 8.3 to Rs 1,130 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators raised their bets.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for February delivery moved up by Rs 8.3, or 0.74 per cent, to Rs 1,130 per 10 kg in 11,530 lots.

Refined soya oil contracts for March delivery rose by Rs 6.7, or 0.6 per cent, to Rs 1,126.9 per 10 kg in 37,225 lots.


Analysts said widening of positions by traders mainly helped refined soya oil prices to trade higher in futures market. PTI SRS
