​Refined soya oil futures fall 0.81% on low demand

NEW DELHI: Refined soya oil prices fell by 0.81 per cent to Rs 628.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions amid subdued demand in the spot market.

At National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange ( NCDEX), refined soya oil for delivery in February declined by Rs 5.15, or 0.81 per cent, to Rs 628.60 per 10 kg with an open interest of 40,980 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in April shed Rs 4.20, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 590.70 per 10 kg in 91,315 lots.

Marketmen said offloading of positions by speculators, driven by subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position, weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
