Refined soya futures up on pick-up in demand

At the NCDEX, refined soya oil for delivery in February month rose by Rs 3.95, or 0.54 pc, to Rs 733.55 per 10 kg with an open interest of 79,700 lots.

NEW DELHI: Refined soya oil prices rose by Rs 3.95 to Rs 733.55 per 10 kg 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions,driven by a rise in demand in the spot market supported by marriage season.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February month rose by Rs 3.95, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 733.55 per 10 kg with an open interest of 79,700 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 1.80, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 712.45 per 10 kg in 60,810 lots.

Market analysts attributed the rise in refined soya oil futures to pick-up in demand in the spot market due to ongoing marriage season.
