Raksha Bandhan festival: India Post offers 6.5% discount on gold coins for 'Rakhi'

NEW DELHI: India Post is offering a special discount of 6.5 per cent on purchase of gold coins from selected post offices in Delhi tomorrow on the occasion of ' Raksha Bandhan' festival.

"On August 1, 2012, any customer who buys gold from identified post offices in Delhi will get a special 6.5 per cent discount of the day's retail price on all denominations," a statement said.

The offer can be availed in all 31 post offices of Delhi identified for the sale of gold coins, it added.

The gold coins bear logo of India Post and are available in denominations of 0.5 gm, 1 gm, 5 gm, 8 gm, 10 gm, 20 gm and 50 gm.

"These coins are having purity rating of 24 karat 99.99 per cent from Valcambi, under Swiss certification and are available in tamper-proof packaging," the statement added.
