Punjab post offices offer 6.5% discount on gold coins sale

CHANDIGARH: The Chief Postmaster General, Punjab Postal Circle today announced special festive offer on the occasion of 'Pushya Nakshtrey' on June 22 to get a flat 6.5 per cent discount on the price of gold by investing in gold coins from India Post.

Buying gold is considered auspicious on the occasion of this offer Pushya Nakshtrey festival.

The gold coins are available in denominations of 0.5 g, 1 gm, 5 gm, 8 gm, 10 gm, 20 gm and 50 g of 24 carat with 99.99 per cent purity.

This is a limited period offer, a post office spokesman said adding that the scheme was implemented through 34 designated post offices across the Punjab and Chandigarh postal circle which covers 9 districts and Chandigarh UT.
