Prices of commodities harden

CHENNAI: Prices of all commodities went up while sugar unchanged in the wholesale foodgrains market here during the week ended saturday.

Prices of toor dal, urad dal, moong dal, gram dal went up by Rs.100 each per quintal to Rs. 4,350, Rs. 3,900, Rs. 3,700 and Rs.2,850 against previous week's rate of Rs.4,250, Rs.3,800, Rs.3,600 and Rs.2,750 respectively.

Prices of wheat, maida, sooji went up by Rs.50 each to Rs. 1,550, Rs.1,450, Rs.1,550 against previous week's rate of Rs.1,500, Rs.1,400 and Rs.1,500.

Price of sugar unchanged from its previous week Rs.1,540. Following are rates per quintal: Toor dal Rs 4,350, urad dal Rs.3,900, moong dal Rs.3,700, gram dal Rs 2,850, sugar Rs.1,540, wheat Rs.1,550, maida (90 Kg) Rs.1,420 and sooji (90 kg) Rs.1,550.
