Price of tur dal falls

CHENNAI: Barring tur dal, the prices of all other commodities ruled steady at the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Tur dal declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,000 from its closing price of Rs 7,100.

The prices of urad dal, moong dal, gram dal, sugar, wheat, maida (90 kg) and sooji (90 kg) ruled steady.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities today (in rupees per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,000 Urad Dal Rs 6,900 Moong Dal Rs 8,600 Gram Dal Rs 3,900 Sugar Rs 2,950 Wheat Rs 2,400 Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,450 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,600.
