Potato prices fell by 0.64 per cent to Rs 729 per quintal in futures trading today, following fresh arrivals from producing belts against subdued demand in the spot market.

NEW DELHI: Potato prices fell by 0.64 per cent to Rs 729 per quintal in futures trading today, following fresh arrivals from producing belts against subdued demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, potato for delivery in October declined by Rs 4.70, or 0.64 per cent, to Rs 729 per quintal in single lot.

Market analysts said fresh arrivals from producing belts in the spot market amid slackened demand, mainly kept pressure on potato futures.
