Pistachio prices gains on fresh demand

NEW DELHI: In thin trading, prices of pistachio gained between Rs 5 and Rs 25 per kg on the wholesale dry fruit market on Saturday on pick up in demand from local parties and stockists against restricted arrivals.
Pistachio Irani rose by Rs 20/25 at Rs 475-500, hairati by Rs 15/20 at Rs 490-515 and peshwari by Rs 15/25 Rs 525-545 per kg respectively.
Traders said restricted arrivals from overseas markets against increased demand from local parties and stockists to meet the seasonal demand mainly pushed up prices.
