PEC to sale 1,300 tons of imported pulses

NEW DELHI: Public sector trading company PEC on Monday invited bids from domestic traders for sale of over 1,300 tons of imported pulses, lying at warehouses in Chennai and Mumbai.

The company said it would sell 100 tons of tur whole (arhar), 200 tons of urad whole, 800 tons of green moong, 100 tons of lemon tur and 100 tons of kabuli check peas to domestic traders, for which bids are to be submitted by September 27.

PEC said the evaluation and finalisation of bids received shall be made on the basis of the highest price quoted by the bidders.

The bid would be valid till October 4 and the successful bidder is required to lift the stocks within 15 days from the date of letter of acceptance, PEC added.
