Nickel strengthens on industrial demand

Nickel prices traded higher by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metals market today on increased demand from consuming industries.

NEW DELHI: Nickel prices traded higher by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metals market today on increased demand from consuming industries.

Traders said increased demand from alloy-makers influenced nickel prices.

In the national capital, nickel (4x4) traded higher by Rs 2 to Rs 1,058-1,061 per kg.

The following were today's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 113-119, nickel plate (4x4) 1,058-1,061 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 419, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 136, lead imported 134, aluminium ingots 142, sheet cutting 143, aluminium wire scrap 146 and aluminium utensils scrap 142.
