Nickel, copper prices up on better demand

MUMBAI : Prices of nickel, copper utensils lead moved up moderately in a mixed non-ferrous metal market here on Tuesday due to increased demand from industrial users while copper and brass moved down due to lack of industrial buying support.
Nickel rose by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,125, copper utensils scrap by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 349 and lead by a rupee per kg to Rs 100. However, copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar fell by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 391, Rs 385 and Rs 419 respectively.
Copper armiture, copper sheets cutting, brass utensils scrap and brass sheets cutting all also ended lower by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 378, Rs 373, Rs 252 and Rs 268 respectively.
