Nickel, copper down on weak global cues

Wholesale prices of nickel and copper drifted by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on stockists selling, triggered by weak global markets.

NEW DELHI: Wholesale prices of nickel and copper drifted by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on stockists selling, triggered by weak global markets.


Fall in demand from steel-makers and other consuming industries too influenced the prices.

Nickel plate remained weak and fell by another Rs 5 at Rs 1,110-1,220 per kg.

Copper super-D rod were down by Rs 5 at Rs 380 per kg on sluggish demand.

Tin ingot and lead also declined by Rs 5 each at Rs 1,160 and Rs 112 per kg respectively.

Traders said fall in demand from consuming, particularly steel makers, pulled nickel prices down.
