NEW DELHI: Cardamom prices were up by 0.17 per cent to Rs 892.20 per kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions, triggered by a pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in August rose by Rs 1.50 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 892.20 per kg in business turnover of 12 lots.

Market analysts said building up of fresh positions on the back of a rise in demand at the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly helped cardamom prices to trade higher at futures trade.
