Soybean futures rise on fresh bets

Soybean for December delivery rose by Rs 37, or 0.87%, to Rs 4,285 per quintal with an open interest of 46,190 lots.

Soybean for January delivery went up by Rs 28, or 0.66 per cent to Rs 4,274 per quintal with an open interest of 1,84,415 lots.
Soybean prices on Thursday went up by Rs 37 to Rs 4,285 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for December delivery rose by Rs 37, or 0.87 per cent, to Rs 4,285 per quintal with an open interest of 46,190 lots.

Likewise, Soybean for January delivery went up by Rs 28, or 0.66 per cent to Rs 4,274 per quintal with an open interest of 1,84,415 lots.


Marketmen said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to rise in soybean prices.
