Silver futures drop on subdued demand

Silver futures dropped by Rs 93 to Rs 59,780 per kg on Friday as participants reduced their bets on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for the December delivery tumbled Rs 93, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 59,780 per kg in a business turnover of 7,374 lots.

Globally, silver traded 0.41 per cent lower at USD 23.35 per ounce in New York.
