Silver futures drop nearly 1% on subdued demand

NEW DELHI: Silver futures on Wednesday dropped Rs 620 to Rs 66,860 per kg as participants reduced their bets on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery tumbled by Rs 620, or 0.92 per cent, to Rs 66,860 per kg in a business turnover of 12,150 lots.

Silver traded lower by 1.25 per cent at USD 25.86 per ounce in New York.
