Silver futures decline by over Rs 100 on weak spot demand

On MCX, silver contracts for the March delivery dropped 0.2% to Rs 69,092 per kg.

NEW DELHI: Silver futures traded lower by Rs 139 to Rs 69,092 per kg on Thursday as participants cut down their bets on weak demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for the March delivery dropped by Rs 139, or 0.2 per cent, to Rs 69,092 per kg in a business turnover of 12,486 lots.

In the international market, silver fell 0.18 per cent to USD 27.27 an ounce in New York.
