NEW DELHI: Saria prices fell by Rs 200 per tonne at the wholesale steel market today due to reduced offtake by stockists following slow down in constructions activity.

Traders said reduced offtake by stockists due to weak demand from constructions units mainly led to the fall in saria prices.

Saria Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 38,300, Rs 36,500 and Rs 35,900 per tonne respectively. Saria 16-25-mm followed suit and enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 35,900 per tonne.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 38,300, 10-mm Rs 36,500, 12-mm Rs 35,900, 16-25 mm Rs 35,900.
