Refined soya oil futures drop on low demand

On NCDEX, refined soya oil for delivery in April declined by Rs 7.4 to Rs 1,292 per 10 kg.

NEW DELHI: Refined soya oil prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 7.4 to Rs 1,292 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April declined by Rs 7.4, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 1,292 per 10 kg in 52,395 lots.

Refined soya oil contracts for May traded lower by Rs 8.9, or 0.69 per cent, at Rs 1,275 per 10 kg in 16,435 lots.


Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices.
