Mentha oil prices decline on low demand

NEW DELHI: Mentha oil prices dropped in the domestic futures market on Wednesday as participants trimmed their bets amid falling demand from consuming industries at the spot markets.

At around 11:45 am, the MCX Mentha oil was trading at Rs 1,664.50 per kg, down by Rs 14.40 or 0.86 per cent.

The fall in mentha oil prices was mostly attributed to cutting down of bets by speculators, triggered by a weak demand from consuming industries at the physical markets.


MCX Gold also declined in trade today. Gold was trading at Rs 30,315 per 10 grams, lower by Rs 87 at that time in futures market.
