Mentha oil futures fall on slump in spot demand

As per market experts, participants trimmed positions amid subdued demand from consuming industries.

NEW DELHI: Mentha oil prices fell in futures trade on Tuesday as speculators trimmed positions on a slump in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

Besides, ample stocks position on higher supplies from major producing regions fuelled the downtrend.

Around 12:15 pm, MCX Mentha oil was at Rs 1,629 per kg, down by Rs 22.70, or 1.37 per cent.


As per market experts, participants trimmed positions amid subdued demand from consuming industries in spot market which led to the decline in mentha oil prices in futures trade.
