NEW DELHI: Mentha oil suffered a strong loss in futures trade on Monday on slump in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

Speculators cut bets amid a fall in demand from consuming industries and higher supplies from key producing regions.

Around 10:40 am, MCX Mentha oil traded at Rs 1,204 a kg, down by Rs 30.40, or 2.46 per cent. Analysts said mentha oil may continue its bearish run as there is muted demand amid ample supply in the spot market.
