Mentha oil falls in futures trade on muted spot demand

NEW DELHI: Mentha oil prices slipped in the domestic futures market on Friday on lower demand at the spot market amid adequate arrival from producing regions.

Around 12:10 pm, MCX Mentha oil was at Rs 1,599.90 per kg, down by Rs 7.10, or 0.44 per cent.

Speculators trimmed positions in mentha futures, triggered by muted demand from consuming industries at the spot market and adequate stocks on higher supplies from the major producing regions.


As per brokerage Geojit Financial Services, the commodity may witness a choppy trade in Friday's session.
