Guar seed futures decline on low demand

For April delivery, the futures prices increased Rs 9, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 3,965 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 1,800 lots.

NEW DELHI: Guar seed prices on Thursday went down by Rs 2 to Rs 3,918 per 10 quintal in futures trade.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for March delivery was trading at Rs 3,918 down by Rs 2, or 0.05 per cent per 10 quintal with an open interest of 55,140 lots.

Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
