Guar Seed futures decline on low demand

Guar seed prices on Tuesday went down by Rs 28 to Rs 3,823 per 10 quintal in futures trade.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for December delivery was trading at Rs 3,823 down by Rs 28, or 0.73 per cent per 10 quintal with an open interest of 29,805 lots.

For January delivery, the futures prices decreased Rs 25, or 0.64 per cent, to Rs 3,873 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 35,845 lots.


Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
