Guar Seed futures decline on low demand

Guar seed prices on Tuesday went down by Rs 32 to Rs 3,929 per 10 quintal in futures trade on low demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for December delivery was trading at Rs 3,929 down by Rs 32, or 0.81 per cent per 10 quintal with an open interest of 45,605 lots.

For January delivery, the futures prices decreased Rs 31, or 0.77 per cent, to Rs 3,979 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 20,715 lots.


Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
