Guar seed futures decline on low demand

New Delhi: Guar seed prices on Friday fell by Rs 49 to Rs 4,080 per 10 quintal in futures trade.On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for October delivery was trading down by Rs 49, or 1.19 per cent, at Rs 4,080 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 16,960 lots.

Likewise, for November delivery, guar seed prices decreased Rs 29, or 0.7 per cent, to Rs 4,096 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 43,250 lots.

Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
