Guar seed futures decline on low demand

New Delhi: Guar seed prices on Wednesday fell by Rs 8 to Rs 3,974 per 10 quintal in futures trade. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for October delivery traded lower by Rs 8, or 0.2 per cent, at Rs 3,974 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 41,470 lots.

Likewise, for November delivery, guar seed prices decreased by Rs 9, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 3,990 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 9,715 lots.

Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
