Guar seed futures decline on low demand

New Delhi: Guar seed prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 6 to Rs 3,970 per 10 quintal in futures trade. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for October delivery was trading lower by Rs 6, or 0.15 per cent, at Rs 3,970 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 42,455 lots.

Likewise, for November delivery, the futures prices decreased by Rs 9, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 3,985 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 9,160 lots.

Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
