Gold futures ease on low demand

On Multi Commodity Exchange, gold prices for April delivery slipped by Rs 362 to Rs 44,517 per 10 grams.

NEW DELHI: Gold futures on Friday fell 0.81 per cent to Rs 44,517 per 10 gram as participants offloaded their holdings on a low spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold prices for April delivery slipped by Rs 362, or 0.81 per cent, to Rs 44,517 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 11,004 lots.

In the international market, gold was trading 0.88 per cent lower at USD 1,707.50 per ounce in New York.
