Crude oil futures up on spot demand

Crude oil for January delivery traded higher by Rs 7, or 0.21%, at Rs 3,410 per barrel in 61 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
Crude oil prices rose Rs 7 to Rs 3,410 per barrel on Thursday as participants widened their positions on firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for January delivery traded higher by Rs 7, or 0.21 per cent, at Rs 3,410 per barrel in 61 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.


Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 0.48 per cent to USD 45.74 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.45 per cent higher at USD 49.08 per barrel in New
