Crude oil futures decline on low demand

West Texas Intermediate crude oil fell by 0.76 per cent to USD 40.65 per barrel, while Brent crude was trading lower by 0.83 per cent at USD 42.80 per barrel in New York.

Crude oil for November delivery was quoting lower by 21, or 0.69 per cent, at Rs 3,001 per barrel with an open interest of 272 lots.
New Delhi: Crude oil futures on Friday fell by 0.57 per cent to Rs 2,977 per barrel as participants reduced their positions on low demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for October delivery eased by Rs 17, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 2,977 per barrel with a business volume of 2,982 lots.
