Coriander futures rise on spot demand

Coriander for December delivery gained Rs 48, or 0.83 per cent, to Rs 5,850 per quintal with an open interest of 775 lots.

For January delivery, coriander prices traded higher by Rs 44, or 0.76 per cent, to Rs 5,852 per quintal with an open interest of 3,015 lots.
Coriander prices on Thursday rose by Rs 48 to Rs 5,850 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for December delivery gained Rs 48, or 0.83 per cent, to Rs 5,850 per quintal with an open interest of 775 lots.

For January delivery, coriander prices traded higher by Rs 44, or 0.76 per cent, to Rs 5,852 per quintal with an open interest of 3,015 lots.


A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices here, market analysts said.
