Oil prices jumped further on Friday after US President Donald Trump said only "unconditional surrender" of Iran will end the Middle East war, as fresh strikes hit the Islamic republic.

Oil prices jumped further on Friday after US President Donald Trump said only "unconditional surrender" of Iran will end the Middle East war, as fresh strikes hit the Islamic republic.

International benchmark, Brent North Sea crude, surged more than five percent to hit $90.25 per barrel, its highest level since April 2024.

The main US contract West Texas Intermediate advanced 8.1 percent to $87.56 per barrel.
